Jehovah and Jesus aren’t ‘detail’ guys. They need eight guys in upstate New York to talk to mankind for them. Despite the Bible saying it alone makes us ‘fully competent’ and ‘completely equips’ a person for a relationship with God, Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t believe it’s true. The Governing Body have outright ignored the ‘rule’ at 1 Corinthians 4:6: ‘never go beyond the things written.’ Remember when Jesus mentioned college, piercings, piñatas or disco? No? Neither do we. That’s why Jesus needs these eight guys.
